About
Melissa is an experienced psychologist who has worked for over a decade with clients with a range of difficulties. Melissa has also worked with parents experiencing challenges in being able to be with their children in a way that feels clear, compassionate, courageous and in balance. Melissa is a warm and down to earth practitioner with a good sense of humour. Attending therapy takes great courage so Melissa hopes to create a space where her clients feel welcomed, supported and accepted as they are. Melissa started her career working predominantly with children, teens and families from an attachment lens. Over time, as she moved in to working predominantly with adults and parents, Melissa discovered IFS and EMDR and how by creating a secure attachment with oneself, with ones own inner child, clients can heal wounds from the past, experience more internal space and a sense of greater self-leadership.
