  • Should I use remotEMDR with the share screen option?

It's NOT RECOMMENDED to use remotEMDR with the share screen option for several reasons:

    • The visual stimulus movement on your client's side won't be smooth, and it will be tough for them to track it, especially when the speed is getting faster.
    • There won't be an option for the client to receive the sound stimulation.
    • Your client is not supposed to see the control panel but to focus only on the BLS.
    • There will be a mirror effect - when the balls move to the right, your client will look to his left, so it will be impossible for the therapist to check if the client follows the movement of the balls.

Instead, you should only invite your client with the remotEMDR unique invitation link, which solves all these issues.

  • Do I have to download an app?

remotEMDR is a web platform, so you don't need to download it, but access it through Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari browsers.

  • How do clients join remotEMDR sessions?

You send your clients an invitation link, which they click on to join the remotEMDR session. Each client has a fixed, unique URL link.

  • Is remotEMDR HIPAA compliant?

remotEMDR is doing everything necessary to ensure compliance with applicable HIPAA rules and regulations as they apply to our company and the covered data that we receive and store. In accordance, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available on our website.
